The biggest upset of the week belonged to Concord, who took down 142nd ranked Concord, 49-6.
Clayton Valley extended the longest winning streak in Diablo Valley this week by beating the Minutemen, 49-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Eagles.
Austin Hunt put up the best numbers through the air as Mt. Diablo lost to Ygnacio Valley. He finished with a total of 29 completions for 325 yards and seven touchdowns.
Olito Thompson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 35 yards on 10 carries as Concord fell to Clayton Valley. Teammate Uaisele Manoa added to the ground attack by rushing for 26 yards.
Yesin was the best wideout in the league this week as Brian Hamilton's team fell to Tim Murphy's team. Yesin tallied nine receptions for 105 yards. Jacob Daynes helped Concord's passing attack out by catching five balls for 54 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Hunt of the Red Devils is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1362. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. On the ground, the Eagles' Joe Protheroe has rushed for 1560 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daynes. The Concord star has 31 catches for 452 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Northgate takes on second place Clayton Valley. Last week, Northgate beat College Park, while Clayton Valley topped the Minutemen.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Eagles take on the Broncos. Clayton Valley's offense has scored 383 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Northgate has allowed only 104 on the year.
The Eagles moved up to 120 from 175 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Clayton Valley was able to make move up by besting Concord 49-6.
