The final result isn't all the surprising considering J.L. Mann's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while Riverside are ranked 36th).

Smith Darby and Nico Ortiz scored both of J.L. Mann's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greenville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Woodmont on Friday as they made off with a 4-0 win. Greenville have beaten Woodmont the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Woodmont has come to flipping the script.

J.L. Mann pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

J.L. Mann beat Greenville by a goal in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-1. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
