The Tempe Prep Knights's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 34-22 victory over North Phoenix Preparatory Academy.
Alexandra Price and Ellaina Wakeham certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Price scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks, while Wakeham scored two points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Price is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.
Tempe Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
Tempe Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Santa Cruz Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Santa Cruz Valley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will take on Mayer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
