Seton Catholic never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions as they made off with a 12-3 win. The Sentinels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brooke Zuluaga made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Scarlett Olivares, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Those hits were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbey Cota, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
