The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Agua Fria in their matchups with Deer Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Agua Fria lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Perez. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Agua Fria has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Deer Valley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.
