After two games on the road, St. Paul Catholic is heading back home. After both having extra time off, the St. Paul Catholic Falcons and the Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic Yellowjackets will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 22nd.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for St. Paul Catholic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 29-12 loss to Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic waltzed into Saturday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over Holy Cross.
Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evan Schibi led the charge by rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Schibi was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
St. Paul Catholic has yet to win a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 1-8 record. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Oxford (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63% over those games). As for Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
St. Paul Catholic took a serious blow against Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 56-6. Thankfully for St. Paul Catholic, Fredrick Camp (who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 53 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
