Baseball Recap: Badin Wins Going Away Against Hamilton

Badin won the last time they faced Hamilton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rams blew past the Big Blue 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 14 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Holderbach led a balanced Rams bullpen and tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Holderbach has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Austin Vangen was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Cooper Ollis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Badin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Badin's record now sits at 22-5. As for Hamilton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13.

Coming up, Badin will host Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Fenwick at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Falcons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
