Make it five blowout wins for the Patrick School Celtics this season. They put the hurt on Riverdale Baptist with a sharp 78-55 win on Sunday. The victory was just what Patrick School needed coming off of a 91-56 defeat in their prior contest.
Riverdale Baptist's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Furman and Giovonni Sanford. Furman scored 13 points along with three steals, while Sanford scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dominic Carr, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Riverdale Baptist struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Patrick School's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5. As for Riverdale Baptist, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10.
Patrick School will head out on the road to take on Belleville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverdale Baptist, they will be playing at home against Evergreen Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
