The Pine Creek Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Air Academy Kadets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Pine Creek's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Thursday, Pine Creek got the win against Fountain-Fort Carson by a conclusive 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Tristan Mullis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Matthew Brady looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Pine Creek got a massive performance out of Aiden Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Wilson has posted since back in March. Brayden Moreno was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.
Pine Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Air Academy's offense. They fell 5-0 to Lutheran on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Kadets were not able to get on the board.
Pine Creek pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Air Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5-1 record this season.
Everything went Pine Creek's way against Air Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Pine Creek made off with a 13-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Kadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
