The Escondido Charter Tigers will face off against the Bishop's Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Escondido Charter 2.3, Bishop's 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bishop's is facing Escondido Charter at the wrong time: Escondido Charter suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Stingrays by a score of 6-5.

Lilly Harper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mariana Bedolla was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Selena Salas, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Bishop's and Santa Fe Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Eagles on their field since March 19, 2019.
Bishop's also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sydney Mafong gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayla Stafford, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jessica Yao, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Bishop's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Escondido Charter, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 16-4.
Escondido Charter's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Tigers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bishop's, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Escondido Charter continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Escondido Charter's way against Bishop's in their previous matchup back in March, as Escondido Charter made off with a 9-2 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
