The Amherst Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Whitharral 62-33. Amherst has struggled against Whitharral recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Whitharral got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathaniel Sansom out in front who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Griffin, who scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals.
Amherst has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Whitharral, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Meadow the next time they take the court. Whitharral will head out to face Meadow at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Amherst will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
