The Hough Huskies struggled with assists on Monday (the Williams Bulldogs had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Hough fell 65-54 to Williams.
Blake Desautels and Evan Otto certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Desautels scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, while Otto scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Desautels pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Nesta, who scored eight points.
Brian Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Williams, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds. Williams continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Milton Turner, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Hough's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Williams, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hough will take on Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopewell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,013 points over their last 14 games. As for Williams, they will be playing at home against Cedar Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Ridge is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
