The Lebanon Tigers lost against the Clinton Central Bulldogs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lebanon was the victim of a tough 60-34 loss at the hands of Clinton Central. While losing is never fun, Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Clinton Central is ranked 69th).
Lebanon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Boling, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Riley Vanaman was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Clinton Central was led to victory by Carly Davison and Sara Parkison. Davison dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists, while Parkison scored 25 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. The matchup was Parkison's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erika Robbins, who scored seven points.
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Clinton Central, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lebanon will head out on the road to face off against Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Danville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. Clinton Central will be home for the holidays to greet Tri-Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Central and Clinton Central are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
