 Burleson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Jaden Thurston and  Ty Freeman. Thurston has been hot recently, having also posted five or more  total tackles the last three times he's  played. Burleson got some further help from  Lawson Blanchard: he picked up  a  sack, made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss),  and defended one pass.
 Mansfield Timberview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Steven Hall, who threw for 276 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Those  276  passing yards gave  Hall a new career-high.
Burleson has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record  this season. As for Mansfield Timberview, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-3.

That  matchup will pit two of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Andrew Sparks and  Maguire Gasperson. Meanwhile, Mansfield Timberview will  challenge  rival Grapevine  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
