Faith Christian is 9-1 against Oakwood since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Faith Christian Patriots will get right back to it and host the Oakwood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Faith Christian pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 88-62 loss at the hands of Harrells Christian Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Faith Christian in their matchups with Harrells Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Michael Grant, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennie Griffin, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Oakwood, who are still winless after their 14th match. They fell to Northeast Academy 34-29.
Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Oakwood, they bumped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Faith Christian against Oakwood when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 81-23 win. Does Faith Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oakwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
