Jayden Ortiz's Big Game Leads Wheeler over Griffith
Jayden Ortiz was instrumental in extending Wheeler's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Ortiz as he rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.
Griffith's probably not too fond of Ortiz given he always seems to get the better of them. When Ortiz last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

Gary West Side was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Ladarrion Newell did his best to prevent it. Despite the loss, Newell was still balling out as he made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Gary West Side has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. Newell and Gary West Side will venture away from home to challenge New Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Moore Posts Huge Game in 38-36 Loss
Keeping Newell company is Guiseppe Moore, a fellow Gary West Side player. He rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
Unfortunately for Calumet New Tech, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Moore. When Moore last faced the Warriors back in October of 2023, he rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns.

Bryce Compton and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Bryce Compton's big game helped extend Wheeler's winning streak to seven on Friday. Compton turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 63 yards.
If the past is any indication, Compton could be in store for another big game when he takes on Boone Grove on Friday. Back in September (the last time Compton saw the Wolves), he picked up 213 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Eric Allen Goes Supernova in Calumet New Tech Win
Rounding off our Top Five is Eric Allen of Calumet New Tech. Allen picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Calumet New Tech now has a winning record of 5-4. They and Mishawaka Marian are set to duel on Friday.
