The Institute of Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jordan-Elbridge. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jordan-Elbridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Erin Lavancha out in front who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lavancha has scored all season. Ava Hildebrant was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Institute of Tech bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Jordan-Elbridge, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Skaneateles the next time they take the court. Jordan-Elbridge will head out to face Skaneateles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Institute of Tech will host them at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th.
