The Carver Vo-Tech Bears stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Coppin Academy at home to the tune of 70-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Carver Vo-Tech has posted since December 8, 2023.
Carver Vo-Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Desmond Handon out in front who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Handon has scored all season. David Ross was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Carver Vo-Tech pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.53 points. As for Coppin Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Carver Vo-Tech will head out on the road to face off against City College at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. City College has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Coppin Academy, they will take on Benjamin Franklin at TBD on Thursday. One thing working in Benjamin Franklin's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
