It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the MICDS Rams can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Cardinal Ritter College Prep on Friday, falling 60-24. MICDS's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brian Gould, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 67 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Clay, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
MICDS's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
MICDS does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cardinal Ritter College Prep is on the road again on Friday and play against Fort Zumwalt North. Fort Zumwalt North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Cardinal Ritter College Prep is ranked seventh).
