If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for New Salem/Glen Ullin. On Friday they take on Hettinger/Scranton at Scranton at 7:00 PM. New Salem/Glen Ullin have bulldozed their previous six opponents, so Hettinger/Scranton might have their hands full.
Last Friday, New Salem/Glen Ullin put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season. They took the matchup and then some with a 60-18 victory over Richardton-Taylor/Hebron. That looming 42-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for New Salem/Glen Ullin yet.
Meanwhile, Hettinger/Scranton suffered a grim 12-36 defeat to Shiloh Christian.
New Salem/Glen Ullin's win lifted them to 6-0 while Hettinger/Scranton's defeat dropped them down to 2-4. New Salem/Glen Ullin have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 57.333333333333333333333333333 points per game. We'll see if Hettinger/Scranton can find some way to disarm them.
