The Calhoun Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 62-43 bruising from Tyler. Calhoun has not had much luck with Tyler recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Tyler was led to victory by Ryland Henderson and Jules Lattea. Henderson scored 21 points along with three steals, while Lattea dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Henderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Lemasters, who scored seven points.
Calhoun's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Tyler, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun will challenge Point Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tyler, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tyler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
