South Dade's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They really took it to the Golden Gate Titans for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-26 victory. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Dade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justice Sheppard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Sheppard has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jurnee Walters, who posted 14 points.

South Dade's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Golden Gate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

South Dade and Golden Gate could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. South Dade (ranked 413th) will meet Mater Academy Charter (ranked 139th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Similarly, Golden Gate (ranked 518th) will meet Bishop Verot (ranked 54th) at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
