The Cedar Ridge Timberwolves will challenge the Marshall Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Cedar Ridge lost 16-10 to Sloan-Hendrix on Friday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DJ Brown and Wesley Horton did some serious damage despite the final result: Brown went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run, while Horton went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Cedar Ridge is 4-1 when Horton posts two or more runs, but 4-9-1 otherwise. Dawson Engles was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Marshall came up short against Sloan-Hendrix on Thursday and fell 9-5.
Colt Yarbrough was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rocky Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hayden Childers, who earned one run and three stolen bases.
Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cedar Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.
Cedar Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Marshall in their previous meeting on April 2nd, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
