Heritage has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Kecoughtan Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Heritage can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 47-19 victory over Gloucester. Heritage pushed the score to 26-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Gloucester had little chance of recovering from.
Tyree Wilson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Wilson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Rayshawn Pierce-malone and his 110 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Heritage's victory.
Kecoughtan fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Woodside by a score of 18-10 on Thursday.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-5.
Heritage came up short against Kecoughtan in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 28-15. Can Heritage avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
