While it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, the North Grand Eagle Owls were not quite the Bowen Boilermakers's equal in the second half on Monday. North Grand fell 63-51 to Bowen. North Grand was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bowen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Rae'Qwon Rogers was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six assists and four steals for Bowen. The contest was Rogers' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashad Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
North Grand's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bowen, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
North Grand will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowen won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Goode STEM Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 9th. Goode STEM Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
