The Lanett Panthers lost against the LaFayette Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lanett took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of LaFayette. While losing is never fun, Lanett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while LaFayette is ranked 120th).
LaFayette got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Branaviyun Story out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deaundra Vines, who scored 12 points along with eight assists.
Lanett has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for LaFayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Lanett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. LaFayette also has no future games currently scheduled.
