Even though the Satellite Scorpions have not done well against the Astronaut War Eagles recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Satellite blew past Astronaut, posting a 61-26 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Satellite also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Satellite was led to victory by Sydney Logsdon and Alyna Lora. Logsdon dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Lora scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The game was Logsdon's third in a row with at least ten points. Janae Mcfall was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
Satellite now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Astronaut, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Satellite will square off against Eau Gallie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Eau Gallie is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Astronaut, they will head out on the road to face off against Odyssey Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Odyssey Charter School is ranked 553rd, while Astronaut is ranked 528th).
