The Trinity Shamrocks are taking a road trip to square off against the Middletown Blue Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
Trinity's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Harrisburg. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brianna Topper looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Zea Sullivan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ana Ness, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Trinity was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Middletown sidestepped East Pennsboro for a 7-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Raiders in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.
Kenadee Hileman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Middletown got a massive performance out of Ja'Liyah Stover, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Stover's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Journee Stover, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Trinity's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Middletown, their record now sits at 8-3.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinity has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Middletown struggles in that department as they've averaged .490. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Trinity beat Middletown 10-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Shamrocks repeat their success, or do the Blue Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
