Football Recap: Clearfield Piles Up the Points Against Penns Valley Area

Clearfield not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 41-7). They claimed a resounding 46-14 victory over the Penns Valley Area Rams. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Rams are ranked 412th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clearfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Ryan, who rushed for 138 yards and three TDs. Another passer making a difference was Xavier Curry, who threw for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clearfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Clearfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Penns Valley Area, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
