The North Surry Greyhounds typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Lincolnton Wolves proved too difficult a challenge. Lincolnton enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over North Surry. Given Lincolnton's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while North Surry is ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Khamoni Heath went supernova for Lincolnton, rushing for 200 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Heath really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Lincolnton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for North Surry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Lincolnton will head out on the road to face off against Shelby at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Shelby will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. North Surry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
