The Riverside Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Lincoln County 54-35. The win was just what Riverside needed coming off of a 101-24 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Riverside to victory were Ava Ward and Laila Campbell. Ward dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Campbell dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Starsick, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Riverside's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spring Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Riverside in West Virginia (Spring Valley is ranked eighth, while Riverside is ranked 71st). As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to take on Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
