 Meanwhile, Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They skirted past the Bulldogs  48-46.
 This is the second loss in a row for Timberlake Christian and  nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-2.
 Things could have been worse for Timberlake Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  60-42 loss to Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. Can Timberlake Christian avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
