Basketball Game Preview: Panther Creek Panthers vs. Lake Dallas Falcons

The Panther Creek Panthers will head out to face off against the Lake Dallas Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Panther Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three contests.

Panther Creek can't be too worried about heading out to take on Lake Dallas: they just beat Aubrey at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Panther Creek was the clear victor by a 76-56 margin over Aubrey on Saturday. The Panthers pushed the score to 61-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chaparrals cut but never quite recovered from.

JAELEN BLOCK-HILL had a dynamite game for Panther Creek, going 9 for 10 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave BLOCK-HILL a new career-high in points. SABIEN MCGRAW was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Panther Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Lake Dallas came up short against Aubrey on Tuesday and fell 65-57. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Chaparrals are ranked 156th).

Panther Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Lake Dallas, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
