Governor Mifflin is 8-2 against Daniel Boone since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will head out to square off against the Blazers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Governor Mifflin took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 12-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Meanwhile, Daniel Boone waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Raiders 9-1. With that victory, the Blazers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Greyson Bell made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Aidan Howells looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Yenser, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Josh Banas was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Daniel Boone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Governor Mifflin's record now sits at 8-10. As for Daniel Boone, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Governor Mifflin got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Daniel Boone by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
