The Lithia Springs Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 60-39 defeat at the hands of Douglas County. Lithia Springs lost against Douglas County in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-54 score last time.
Leading Douglas County to victory were Christian Richards and Khalid Racine. Richards scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds, while Racine dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Adam Kelshall was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Lithia Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Douglas County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lithia Springs will take on Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cass comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Douglas County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Villa Rica at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
