The Lakeview Gators''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 34-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jonesboro-Hodge. Lakeview has struggled against Jonesboro-Hodge recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb Collins, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Collins is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Omarion Pierr, who rushed for 161 yards.
Lakeview's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.
Lakeview has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Many at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Many's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, they will head out on the road to face off against Winnfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winnfield comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
