The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs will square off against the Rockwood Rockets at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams are coming into the  match red-hot, with Claysburg-Kimmel sitting on  19 straight  wins and Rockwood on three.
Claysburg-Kimmel barely beat Berlin Brothersvalley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Mountaineers with a sharp  8-1 victory on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 games by more than six  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Launa Musselman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.

 In other batting news,  Bella Francona and  McKenna Black did most of the damage at the plate:  Francona  got on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs, while  Black  got on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  Francona has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Rockwood earned  a  9-5 win over North Star  on Thursday.
 Sydney Beals spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits.
 At the plate,  Miley Pletcher was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elika Pletcher, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Rockwood  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Claysburg-Kimmel pushed their record up to 19-0 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
