Cheylin has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Rawlins County Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cheylin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
Cheylin posted their closest win since January 11th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Weskan 54-51. The win was just what Cheylin needed coming off of a 68-39 defeat in their prior game.
Pablo Bermudez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Brady Ketzner was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Rawlins County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-51 loss to the Ringnecks on Friday. Rawlins County has not had much luck with the Ringnecks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Braxton Dixson, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayan Rodriguez, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Cheylin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Rawlins County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Cheylin have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Rawlins County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
