The Valley Forge Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-29 walloping at the hands of Bay. If Valley Forge was looking for revenge after losing 59-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Valley Forge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Patrick, who scored eight points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that Patrick posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Hoang, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Valley Forge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against the Invaders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
