Last Tuesday, Mt. Olive suffered a tough 72-50 defeat at the hands of Gillespie. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Olive in their matchups with Gillespie: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Matthew Bywater, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dexter Frizzo, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, even though Okaw Valley scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Lincolnwood still came out on top. Lincolnwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Okaw Valley and snuck past 58-56. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Lincolnwood as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
The losses dropped Mt. Olive to 0-5 and Gillespie to 2-2.
