The Westside Seminoles won the last time they faced the Central Chargers, and things went their way on Friday too. Westside breezed by Central on the road to the tune of 66-39. With that victory, Westside brought their scoring average up to 57 points per game.
Leading Westside to victory were Marcus Hood and Chauncey Williams. Hood scored 13 points along with 5 assists, while Williams dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Harden, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win got Westside back to even at 1-1. As for Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Westside will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Spalding at 7:30 p.m. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kendrick is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
