Wilmington is 2-8 against Lisle since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wilmington Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Lisle Lions at 6:45 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Wilmington is ranked 456th, while Lisle is ranked 477th).
Wilmington waltzed into their matchup Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 45-24 margin over Coal City.
It was another big night for Reid Juster, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Juster is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Castle, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lisle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-52 to Peotone.
Wilmington now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lisle, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Wilmington and Lisle were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February, but Wilmington came up empty-handed after a 53-52 loss. Thankfully for Wilmington, Chris Farrell (who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
