The Plant Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Strawberry Crest Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plant will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Plant had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Academy of the Holy Names on Monday. Plant put the hurt on Academy of the Holy Names with a sharp 11-4 win. 11 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Gigi Cozzens looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kate Compton, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alexis Medina, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.
Plant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Strawberry Crest, as they earned their first road win of the season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Riverview a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Katelyn Watts, who gave up just four hits to keep Riverview off the board. What's more, Watts gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Strawberry Crest's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Cater, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Plant, their record now sits at 4-2.
