The Loachapoka Indians were the 59-55 winner over the Notasulga Blue Devils when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Loachapoka lost to Notasulga on the road by a decisive 66-50 margin on Friday. Loachapoka just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Despite the loss, Loachapoka still got an impressive performance from Zay Shaw, who scored 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jordan Tyner was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Loachapoka struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Loachapoka's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Notasulga, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Loachapoka will be home for the holidays to greet Auburn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Notasulga will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alabama Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on December 29th.
