Quitman lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Ouachita Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Sunday's match. Quitman blew past Ouachita Christian 17-7 on Sunday. Considering the Wolverines have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Quitman's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Ouachita Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-10 record.

Quitman and Ouachita Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Quitman will square off against Oak Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday up 65 places (17 vs. 82). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Quitman 2.8, Oak Grove 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ouachita Christian (ranked 96th) will meet Rayville (ranked 292nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
