Mater Academy East Las Vegas never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Rocky Storla made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Cherry, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Daylin James was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas' record is now 8-6. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
