On Friday, the Alcoa Tornadoes didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luisa Parra, who made all 6 shots she took to post 12 points in addition to five boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Binetou Diop, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Alcoa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Alcoa will head out to square off against Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-44 victory against Hardin Valley Academy on the 14th.
