If The Woburn Memorial Tanners were feeling good off their 43-7 takedown of the Arlington Spy Ponders last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Woburn Memorial took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westfield on Friday.
Westfield was led to victory by Jaxson St pierre and Kaevon Eddington. St pierre rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns, while Eddington rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Lucas Guay and his 80 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Westfield's victory.
Woburn Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Westfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Woburn Memorial will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Winchester at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. As for Westfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Billerica Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
