The Bulkeley Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. The contest between them and University wasn't particularly close, with Bulkeley falling 44-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bulkeley of the 58-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Malik Rich was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points for University. Rich hasn't dropped below 16 points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucien Twizere, who scored nine points.
Bulkeley has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for University, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.
Bulkeley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-50 victory vs. Capital Prep on the 9th. University has also already played their next contest, a 67-45 win against Achievement First on the 8th.
