Tatnall hasn't had much luck against Sanford recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hornets will welcome the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tatnall is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over Odyssey Charter on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Veghte, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Tatnall's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-0-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't). Elliot Bishop was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Sanford owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against Wilmington Friends by a score of 5-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Quakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Alex Gannon made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Gannon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Cole Ruhland was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.
Sanford pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tatnall, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10-1.
Tatnall might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from Sanford in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Hornets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
